Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Supervisor Logistics to oversee daily logistics operations under the guidance of the Logistics Manager. You will coach staff, review processes, and ensure service standards and KPI achievement.

You will lead a diverse team, foster collaboration, maintain safety compliance, and coordinate with customers to optimize workflows. A high school diploma and prior supervisory experience in logistics are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• One year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• 0 to one year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day logistics operations.
• Plan and review all logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer specifications.
• Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of workers for optimal shifts.
• Accountable for site KPIs.
• Collaborate with customers in all aspects of operations.
• Conduct regular progress reviews with team members; coach, recognize successes and provide feedback.
• Promote diversity and inclusion and seek process improvements.
• Address performance issues through coaching and corrective actions.
• Maintain positive labor relations and understand labor agreements.
• Implement health, safety and security initiatives and ensure policy adherence.
• Provide orientation and necessary tools to staff and leads.
