Job summary

Rambus is seeking a Principal Logic Design Engineer to join our Silicon IP team in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will own micro-architecture and RTL design for memory controllers used in data center and AI applications, collaborating with verification and physical design teams.

The role combines independent work with leadership in design decisions, and Rambus offers a hybrid work model with onsite and remote days, along with a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong SystemVerilog/Verilog RTL design expertise.
• Experience with Questa/Incisive/VCS simulators.
• Proficient in Python, Perl or TCL scripting.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Solid communication and project management skills.
• 10+ years of logic design experience with BSEE, or 8+ years with MSEE.

Responsibilities

• Own micro-architecture definition and RTL design for schedulers and pipelines.
• Analyze PPA trade-offs and drive design decisions using data.
• Collaborate with verification to shape test plans and coverage.
• Coordinate with physical design to resolve timing and power issues.
• Support FAE/AE teams during pre- and post-sales engagements.
