Oakland County is seeking an Administrator of Local Business Development to lead initiatives that strengthen downtowns, support small businesses, and drive economic growth across urban, suburban and rural communities.

You will supervise staff, develop redevelopment strategies, oversee Main Street programs, manage budgets, and liaise with regional, state and national agencies to advance policy and funding opportunities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or related field is required.
• Minimum seven years of progressively responsible planning/economic development experience.
• Professional license or certification in related field is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Manage Local Business Development unit and supervise professional staff.
• Develop redevelopment strategies for downtown, urban and rural areas within the county.
• Oversee Main Street Oakland County downtown revitalization programs.
• Direct small business programs including recruitment, retention and training.
• Prepare and administer the budget for program priorities.
• Coordinate with regional and state agencies and monitor legislation affecting economic development.
