Job summary

City of Lafayette is seeking a Downtown Development Manager to strengthen downtown vitality through relationships with businesses, property owners and organizations. You will coordinate placemaking, events, marketing and beautification while supporting city departments and community partners.

The role focuses on economic development initiatives, communications and budget-conscious project delivery to maintain a welcoming, vibrant downtown district for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• The job requires a bachelor's degree in business, urban planning or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships with businesses, property owners and community groups.
• Experience with budgeting, grants, reports and program administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships among downtown businesses, property owners and city departments.
