Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior full-stack engineer to own the architecture of our agent harness powering conversational and autonomous creative workflows. You will design agents that plan and execute long-running tasks across multiple model vendors and build MCP servers and CLI tooling.

Lead the creation of reusable Agent Skills, observability, and evaluation frameworks, while mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction with founders across product and GTM.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping and owning production systems at scale.
• 2+ years building LLM-powered agents in production.
• Deep hands-on experience with agent architecture: tool use, context/memory management, multi-step planning, sub-agent orchestration, and long-running workflows.
• Track record designing evaluation frameworks and observability for agentic systems.
• Strong system design and data modeling skills.
• Experience authoring reusable Agent Skills, structured agent workflows, or equivalent abstractions.
• Demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong AI-assisted coding practice using Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• Startup experience or ownership of a product surface from 0 to 1 preferred

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the agent harness powering conversational and autonomous creative workflows
• Design agents that plan and execute long-running creative tasks across multiple model vendors
• Build and maintain MCP servers and CLI-based agent tooling
• Author reusable Agent Skills and structured workflows
• Build evaluation and observability infrastructure including automated evals, regression suites, tracing, and quality gates
• Drive reliability, latency, and cost per successful run
• Ship production frontend experiences using React/Next.js
• Set architecture standards, conduct reviews, and mentor engineers
• Track the agent ecosystem and determine which technologies belong in OpenArt's stack
• Partner with founders, product, design, and GTM to translate user needs into technical direction
