Fayetteville Public Library is seeking a Senior AV Engineer to lead live sound, recording, and streaming for library programs and events. You will guide audio setup, ensure production quality, and train staff on AV equipment.

Strong troubleshooting, project coordination, and customer-service focus are essential in a fast-paced, public-service environment. Responsibilities include managing complex events, coordinating with organizers and vendors, and developing SOPs for AV operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training or associate degree preferred.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in live sound, event production, audio recording, or a related field.
• Experience operating professional audio systems for live events, including mixers, microphones, speakers, monitors, routing, wireless systems, and signal processing.
• Experience training, coaching, or providing technical guidance to others.

Responsibilities

• Lead audio engineer for library events, including concerts, talks, and community programs.
• Plan, setup, operate, monitor, and strike audio equipment including mixers, mics, and speakers.
• Provide front-of-house and monitor engineering services, balancing sound quality and audience experience.
• Coordinate technical requirements with organizers, performers, and staff for high-profile events.
• Troubleshoot AV issues before and during events and document problems and solutions.
• Maintain, inspect, test, organize, and document AV equipment for reliability and safety.
