Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a skilled lineman in Lexington, MS. The role requires five years of lineman experience and a valid Class A CDL, with the ability to work odd hours and be away from town as needed. You will install and maintain OH/UG lines, transformers, and related equipment, and may lead other linemen.

Qualifications

• Five years of lineman experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments as required.
• Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to assume a lead role and direct the work of other linemen.

Responsibilities

• Construct, build and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 34.5 kV.
• Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary lines and secondary services.
• Install OH/UG transformers and wire transformer banks.
• Wire regulators, capacitors and reclosers.
• Operate trucks and equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick trucks.
• Read job prints and sketches; recognize materials and their functions.
• Set and climb poles in open areas and energized lines.
• Be available for on-call duty and emergency response.
