Job summary

Entergy Corporation invites applications for a Journeyman Lineman in Louisiana. The role involves constructing, building and maintaining overhead and underground electric facilities up to 34.5 kV, installing transformers and regulators, and performing on-call duties as needed to support power restoration.

The position requires a Class A CDL, physical strength to work in all weather, and the ability to lead and coordinate other linemen. Travel up to 50% may be required in this role.

Qualifications

• 5 years of lineman experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments as required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lead work and direct other linemen.

Responsibilities

• Construct, build and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 34.5KV.
• Install transformers, regulators, capacitors and reclosers.
• Drive trucks and operate bucket and digger derrick equipment.
• Read job prints and understand sketches; recognize materials and their function.
• Work safely, climb poles, and be available for on-call and emergency response.
