Job summary

Delaware North operates Nova Guides and Camp Hale Weddings in the Vail area. We are seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our Red Cliff kitchen, helping prepare guest orders in a fast-paced environment and coordinating with serving staff.

The role includes all standard line cook duties, with health, dental, vision insurance, paid vacations, and weekly pay. Training and growth opportunities are available across locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of back-of-house foodservice experience.
• Able to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
• Basic math skills to follow recipes and portions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to meet portion sizes, quality standards, and temperature requirements.
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and stocked.
• Assist with order sheets, prep sheets and inventory counts.
• Record waste using waste control guidelines.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory.

As a Lead Line Cook, you will partake in important food preparation for guest orders and communicate with serving team members. Pay

$25.00 - $28.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Assist with completing order sheets, prep sheets and inventory counts
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory

More about you

• Must be at least 18 years old
• At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
• Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
• Standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
• Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
• Exposed to variable temperatures
