Join the Lead Line Cook role at Experience Senior Living

The Experience Senior Living Team is comprised of passionate professionals dedicated to empowering older adults to live their best lives. Our team includes creators, architects, nurses, researchers, programmers, marketers, facilitators, developers, investors, and caregivers, all committed to making a positive impact on residents, their families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality culinary service and promote a fine dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing the kitchen.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to food safety standards.
  • Ensure all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.
  • Estimate and communicate needs for food and supplies.
  • Assist in preparing and cooking meals per recipes and menus.
  • Document food temperatures and ensure snacks and beverages are available for residents.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
  • Assist with food transportation, storage, and special events.
  • Attend pre-meal meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare settings.
  • Food handlers permit as required by law.
  • Ability to read recipes and follow safety and cleaning protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage residents and build relationships.
  • Customer service focus and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to accept feedback and operate kitchen equipment safely.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
