Lead Line Cook - FESTIVAL (SUNDAY MAY 18th - SUNDAY JUNE 22nd) - STARTS ASAP

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As Lead Line Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing the line during service, ensuring food quality and consistency, supporting kitchen staff, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This position is very self-starting and fast-paced, involving a mix of prep and line work. It is a temporary position, but we anticipate additional support for catering and events throughout the summer.

Schedule
  • Mon - 10:30am - 4:30pm
  • Tue - 10:30am - 4:30pm
  • Wed - 10:30am - 4:30pm
  • Thu - 10:30am - 4:30pm
  • Fri - 10:30am - 4:30pm
  • Sun & Fri - 10:30am - 4:00pm / 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the line during service, ensuring smooth and timely execution of dishes
  • Maintain quality, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Train and support line cooks and prep staff
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to kitchen management
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with prep work and station setup as needed
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of line cook experience; leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • DOH Food Handlers Card required
