Job summary

Vail Resorts in New York's mountain resort is seeking a Lift Operations Lead to manage daily lift operations, schedule staff, and ensure guest safety. You will oversee team members, uphold safety standards, and coordinate with patrol, maintenance, and support teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Starting wage ranges from $22.00/hr to $29.22/hr for a Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 role with full-time hours, varied shifts including weekends and holidays, housing availability, and comprehensive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of lift or mountain operations experience required.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and stand/move for long shifts.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts, including staffing and opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with hiring, training, and performance feedback of operators and scanners.
• Ensure safety and compliance with laws and company policies.
• Collaborate with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and other teams.
• Maintain organized workstations and respond to guest questions promptly.
• Support ticket scanning and other Lift Experience Team duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
