Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is seeking a Lift Experience Team Lead for the winter season. You will oversee daily lift operations, coordinate opening and closing procedures, and support operators and screeners to ensure guest safety and smooth service.

This seasonal full-time role requires 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience, a high school diploma, and fluent English. You will work outdoors in varying weather, with weekends and holidays required, and housing is available.

  • 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of resort lifts, including scheduling and opening/closing procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and supporting operators and scanners in daily operations and safety.
  • Monitor and document operator performance and behavior; provide feedback or corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures to ensure guest safety.
  • Collaborate with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and lift electric to resolve issues on the mountain.
  • Promote clean and organized workstations.
  • Address guest questions and complaints with timely resolutions.
  • Provide additional training to support ticket scanning as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
  • Starting wage: $22.00/hr – $29.22/hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote clean and organized workstations.
  • Receive and assess guest questions, comments, and complaints, providing timely resolutions.
  • Provide additional training to support ticket scanning as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of previous lift or mountain operations experience.
  • Physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts; may lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Fluent in English communication.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for the entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Pay range: $22.00/hr – $29.22/hr. The pay range is the pay we reasonably expect to offer for this position. Compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
