Job summary

Exos is seeking a Head Lifeguard to lead our aquatic team on-site in Minnesota. You will oversee lifeguard operations, ensure safety protocols, coordinate emergency actions, and deliver excellent patron service in a dynamic fitness and wellness environment.

The role requires current lifeguard certification, CPR/AED, First Aid, and prior guarding or teaching experience. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits apply to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Current accredited Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Address patron concerns and provide frontline customer service.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts per YWCA's Emergency Action Plan.
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and patrons.
• Ensure lifeguard rotation and break schedules are followed.
• Adjust water features and programs to suit patron needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the Aquatics Area.
• Track and replenish first aid and safety supplies.
• Assist with administrative and programming duties as assigned.
• Provide lifeguard or swim instruction coverage when needed.
