Job summary

Blue River Services, Inc. in New Albany, Indiana, seeks a Life Skills Home Lead Instructor – SGL to lead and support second-shift residential operations for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will promote independence, ensure safety, and mentor staff while maintaining a positive home environment. The role requires strong leadership, ability to teach daily living skills, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for residents.
• Provide instruction and support in daily living skills, including social skills, self-care, domestic tasks, and money management.
• Plan and implement recreational and weekend activities for residents.
• Support development and implementation of ISP and PCP plans.
• Document resident progress and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with household management and maintenance checklists.
• Support and schedule staff for home coverage and onboarding.
