Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) seeks a Technician III to lead the physical installation and inspection of life safety systems on assigned projects. You will work with a team to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards while performing cable pathways, terminations, and system testing.

Travel is required up to 25%. The role emphasizes strong communication, documentation of test results, and collaboration with project and field teams to close projects successfully.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience within CEC or similar company.
2+ safety related certifications.
1 Industry certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-year technical degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead daily work project & inspection plan including safe work practices and requirements.
Assist in cable pathway construction, cable pulling, device terminations, and system testing.
Monitor life safety systems during inspections and ensure devices are tested correctly.
Document test results of inspections and communicate discrepancies to the team.
Review documentation and use checklists to ensure each device is tested.
Close projects by performing customer walk-throughs and submitting all documentation.
