Job summary

Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician in Texas. The role blends hands-on patient care with team leadership, staff development, and strategic operational initiatives at our Wimberley-area clinic.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of veterinary tech experience, Texas LVT licensure, and a passion for mentoring and developing professionals, while guiding the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead Team Training & Mentorship: coach, mentor, and support technicians and assistants.
  • Oversee Hospital Operations & Patient Care: monitor daily hospital flow for efficiency and client service.
  • Manage Inventory to ensure adequate stock and supplies.
  • Support Safety & Compliance: help maintain regulatory compliance and hospital protocols.

We are seeking aLead Licensed Veterinary Technician to help guide our clinical team, elevate patient care across a variety of species, and support the continued growth of our hospital.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated veterinary professional who enjoys balancing hands‑on patient care with team leadership, staff development, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives.

In This Position, You Will Take an Active Role In:
  • Team Training & Mentorship- Coach, mentor, and support veterinary technicians and assistants
  • Hospital Operations & Patient Care - Monitor daily hospital flow to ensure efficiency and exceptional client service
  • Inventory Management
  • Safety & Compliance - Assist with maintaining regulatory compliance and hospital protocols
Schedule and Compensation
  • Compensation:$21-$25 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday as your day off

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set:
  • 5+ years of Veterinary Technician experience
  • Active and good-standingLicensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Texas
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
