This full-time position offers autonomy in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice with support, a 4/10 schedule, and a Monday–Friday availability. Compensation ranges from $33-38 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience.
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in Washington.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, anesthesia, and dental skills.
  • Experience training team members and improving workflows.
  • Strong client communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate surgical and dental procedure schedules.
  • Calculate and prepare anesthetic medications and dosages.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients.
  • Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
  • Monitor patient recovery and ongoing procedural care.
  • Guide clients through admission and discharge with confidence.

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

  • Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
  • Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
  • Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
  • Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
  • Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $33-38per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Full-time Benefits Package*:

  • Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of [state]

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing LicensedVeterinary Technician in the state of Washington **
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
    • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
    • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
    • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
    • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
    • Client education and communication
    • Experience training team members
    • Improving workflows and implementing SOPs
    • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
