Job summary

Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic is seeking an experienced Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician to support surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures with autonomy and a collaborative team in Yakima, WA. The role emphasizes patient safety, efficiency, and compassionate care.

You will coordinate schedules, prepare medications, induce and monitor anesthesia, perform dental procedures, train staff, and assist clients through admission and discharge in a fast-paced general practice.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience.
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington.
  • Proficiency in skills including anesthesia, dental radiography, venipuncture, and client communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinicis seeking an experienced Lead LicensedVeterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and provide dedicated support for surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

  • Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
  • Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
  • Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
  • Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Training and mentoring team members
  • Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $22-27per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a flexible position, with a flexibleschedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, no weekends!

Full-time Benefits Package*:

  • Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of [state]

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing LicensedVeterinary Technician in the state of Washington **
  • Proficiency in the following skills:

    • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
    • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
    • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement

    • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Pay Range

$22 - $27 USD
