Job summary

VetEvolve is seeking a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician at Colonial Gateway Veterinary Center in Boynton Beach, FL. This leadership role supports veterinarians and the medical team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and mentors staff in best practices, safety, and client service.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential required.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, lab work, and radiology.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor technicians and assistants to promote skill growth and engagement.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members.
• Partner with leadership to schedule staff based on case load and skills.
• Serve as a clinical resource for best practices in patient care and client communication.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgeries with proper monitoring.
• Perform advanced procedures including venipuncture, anesthesia induction, dental prophylaxis and labs.
