Responsibilities

• Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in behavioral health services.
• May perform all or part of the duties of a licensed Counselor-Behavioral Health.
• Coordinate shift operations of activities, resources, and staff.
• Serve as a technical or functional resource; assist with audits of performance improvement and patient outcomes.
• Monitor and report policy and procedure compliance.
• Conduct patient assessments, establish therapy goals, and evaluate therapy effectiveness.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records.
• Contribute to hiring, training, development, and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

• Licensure/Certification: One or more of the following required: Social Worker credential from the Michigan Board of Social Work (any level), Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice, Counselor specializing in Alcohol and Drug Abuse (from MCBAP), Psychologist from Michigan Board of Psychology, Therapist (any issuing authority).
• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Education: High School diploma with 2 years of experience, or Associate's/Technical degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of relevant experience.
