Job Details

Job Role: Behavioral Health Care Coordinator

Location: Remote in TX; preferred candidates near Austin or San Antonio, open to Dallas/Fort Worth area

Duration: 8+ months contract with possible extension

Hourly Rate: $40/hour

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely clinical review of behavioral health cases for medical necessity. Responsibilities include assisting members via telephone, reviewing medical records, interpreting behavioral health diagnoses, and applying knowledge of medical necessity criteria across all levels of behavioral health care, from outpatient visits to inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Master's-level Behavioral Health Professional with an active, current license to practice independently in the state of operation.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting or private practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with PC and database management.
