Job summary

The City of Boca Raton seeks a Library Assistant II Lead Worker to support Information Services and youth programs across its four service centers. You will assist patrons with accounts, search catalogs, and help with instructional sessions, scheduling, and reporting.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent (60 college credits).
Two years’ experience working with the public or supporting public services.
Valid Florida driver’s license (State of Florida Class "E").

Responsibilities

Accurately performs information and reference functions for patrons in person, by email, and by phone.
Uses library software, calendars, self-checks, scanners, and room technology.
Interacts with patrons to assist using library resources and services.
Develops and delivers adult programs and youth programs; assists with scheduling and reporting.
Assists with library events, promotions, and materials management.
Supports opening/closing procedures and ensures safety during hours without a supervisor present.
