Job summary

RGS Landscape & Arbor Care is seeking a Crew Leader to supervise landscape maintenance crews at assigned sites in California. You will direct daily activities, ensure safety compliance, and communicate with Production Manager on schedules and progress.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial landscape maintenance, ability to delegate, bilingual in English and Spanish, a valid CA driver’s license, and the capacity to train crew members.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising landscape maintenance crews.
• Ability to delegate and manage crew workloads.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Receives assigned job site information and discusses special instructions or schedules.
• Communicates with Production Manager on personnel issues and delegation of duties.
• Recommends changes to methods, schedules, and procedures for efficiency.
• Directs equipment and personnel needs for timely task completion.
• Informs Production Manager of progress and potential problems with equipment and tools.
• Supervises crew members to prepare gear and materials for the day’s work.
• Instructs crew on job assignments and supervises progress to ensure timely completion.
• Enforces safety rules and ensures PPE use by all workers.
• Maintains organized sites, equipment, and timesheets for payroll.
• Operates company vehicle per Fleet Safety policies (if assigned).
• Observes company policies including dress standards and record-keeping.
