Job summary

talisman, a design and engineering firm in Los Angeles, seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial and residential land development from concept through completion. This client-facing leadership role carries full ownership of delivery, budgets, and team performance, with mentoring opportunities for junior engineers.

You will manage project schedules end-to-end, coordinate internal designers and external consultants, and produce complete permit-ready construction documents for review and approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred.
• 7+ years of land development experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own each project start to finish, from planning to delivery.
• Coordinate design and production of construction documents across teams.
• Plan and manage every project phase to stay on schedule and budget.
• Provide construction-phase support, including site visits and shop drawing review.
• Serve as the main client contact with consultants and representatives.
• Build and manage the consultant team: scope, fees, contracts.
• Coordinate trades into aligned documents for permitting and construction.
• Conduct code research at local, state, and federal levels.
• Take responsibility for project financial performance.
• Communicate clearly with clients, brokers, contractors, and colleagues.
