Job summary

TAIT seeks a Project Manager to lead a talented team, driving projects from conception to completion with autonomy and strong support. You will manage client relationships, coordinate design efforts, and mentor engineers in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include marketing support, criteria definition, and rigorous design reviews using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development.

A CA P.E. license and 5–7 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• Current CA P.E. license required.
• 5–7 years of responsible project and staff management experience.
• Strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D design skills for land development (grading, drainage, streets, sewers, utilities).
• Ability to apply civil engineering principles in a service-driven environment.
• Experience preparing grading plans, utility/site plans, and preliminary cost estimates.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities; excellent communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with marketing and client development for the Division.
• Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation.
• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standards.
• Establish project controls and ensure plan accuracy and quality.
• Ensure technical quality, profitability, schedule, and client communications.
• Lead plan processing at public agencies.
• Interface with clients, develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, and manage payments and change orders.
• Manage project staff including design engineers and CAD operators; mentor junior staff.
