Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead civil land development projects in Los Angeles. You will guide technical strategy, review complex deliverables, mentor staff, and oversee entitlement through construction support.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background, a track record in land development, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to QA/QC and process improvement. Hybrid work is available after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
• Minimum of six years of civil engineering design experience.
• Minimum of three years as central design figure, technical mentor, or technical project lead.
• Experience managing land development projects from entitlement through construction support.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical strategist for civil engineering and land development projects.
• Provide technical leadership for land development, site development, water resources, and related projects.
• Develop, refine, and implement technical processes and design methodologies.
• Serve as the central design figure for complex civil engineering projects.
• Manage land development projects from entitlement through design and construction support.
• Conduct detailed technical reviews of engineering plans, calculations, reports, and other deliverables.
• Participate in QA/QC processes.
• Mentor engineering staff and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Support training and professional development.
• Delegate tasks and supervise engineering team members.
• Participate in employee reviews and supervisory responsibilities.
• Ensure engineering work meets standards, regulations, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
