Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Lead Custodian to supervise custodial teams at the Student Center and satellite facilities. You will lead a shift, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure areas meet department and university standards.

The role requires the ability to communicate instructions, perform diverse cleaning tasks, and manage safety and security aspects while coordinating with staff and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small work groups and directing custodial staff.
• Able to communicate work instructions clearly from supervisor.
• General custodial experience with restroom, carpet, and hard floor care.

Responsibilities

• Lead custodians and supervise in supervisor's absence.
• Oversee setup/dismantling of furniture and equipment.
• Ensure security of area and possession of master keys.
• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain department standards.
