Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Department System Supervisor to oversee daily lab operations, ensure quality and timely reporting, and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and administration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, five years of lab experience, Florida supervisor licensure, and strong leadership, training, and compliance with CAP, Joint Commission, and AHCA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Five Years lab experience required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: State of Florida Supervisor (SU preferred) (TN required)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Laboratory operations and reporting.
• Performs routine patient testing and reports results.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, Joint Commission, AHCA and other regulators.
• Mentor staff and coordinate training and competency.
• Participate in committees and PI projects.
• Maintain QA/QC procedures and proficiency testing.
• Communicate shifts and staffing needs clearly across the team.
