Job summary

Fusion Healthcare Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled culinary leader to manage daily kitchen operations in a hospital-like setting. You will coordinate menus, train cooks, prepare meals, and ensure high quality and presentation while meeting health and safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years in-line cooking in large-volume kitchens and at least 3 years supervising 5+ staff, with a strong focus on cost control and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Formal culinary training completed.
• 3+ years in-line cooking in high-volume kitchen and 3+ years supervising at least 5 staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates menus and trains cooks and kitchen workers with the Registered Dietitian.
• Prepares meals, cooks and serves food to a high standard of quality and appearance.
• Manages cost containment, inventory and ordering of food and supplies.
• Maintains kitchen and food safety standards per County and State requirements.
• Ensures sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Hires, trains, supervises and orients dietary department staff and counsels when needed.
• Collaborates with the Registered Dietitian to meet resident health requirements.
