Job summary

Talking Stick Resort is seeking a Kitchen Steward Supervisor to oversee ware washing and kitchen cleanliness in a high-volume environment. The role includes supervising Kitchen Stewards, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with the kitchen leadership.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in a related role, and 1 year of supervisory experience. A valid Food Handler's Card is required; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years related food service experience and 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Working knowledge of stewarding operations or related janitorial experience.
• Must be a team player with a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day operation of ware washing and cleaning of food preparation areas.
• Makes required inspections of all kitchen areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Able to perform ware washing and maintain a clean, organized dish drop zone; puts away washed items.
• Maintains proper chemical levels and stocks back-up chemicals when necessary.
• Supervises temporary cleaning crews when needed and ensures health and safety standards are met.
• Maintains cleanliness of designated areas and assists with scheduling and payroll issues.
