Job summary

Magnolia Kitchen in Waco, Texas, seeks a Production Associate Lead to assist management with daily prep lists, quality control, and supervision of staff. This role reports to the Kitchen Manager and involves guiding team members, maintaining safety standards, and completing opening/closing duties.

You will train and develop staff, ensure compliance with food safety policies, and keep production records current.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2-4 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Basic baking/cooking knowledge required.
• Texas Food Manager Certification required.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, special events, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Follow written instructions for all recipes and lead and instruct team members in execution.
• Ensure the highest standards of product quality and alert management to the need to adjust processes if necessary.
• Maintain a clean working environment at all times and maintain appropriate storage of all utensils and supplies.
• Handle, prepare, and store food in ways that prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure compliance with all food safety standards.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Participate in all meetings and training sessions to ensure current knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Assist in training and development of team members and ensure they are enabled to execute duties.
• Complete production sheets and other records as required.
• Finish all opening and closing duties as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
