Job summary

The GIANT Company in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a deli/prep team member to make sandwiches, pizzas, and hot foods per plan‑of‑gram (POG) and SOP. You will assist customers, maintain food safety, and support weekly circular and merchandising programs in a fast‑paced store environment.

You will handle multiple tasks from prep to display, ensuring quality and freshness while following PPE and safety guidelines. This role requires physical stamina and a team‑oriented attitude.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review schedule and prep equipment and PPE at shift start.
• Production planning management.
• Complete invoice review.
• Prepare products for warmers and hot bar per POG/SOP.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, displays, floors and counters.
• Complete daily food safety logs.
• Track and record loss (KLT).
• Train team members.
• Assemble sandwiches, pizzas, and deli items per SOP.
• Serve hot foods and prep for customers.
• Assist customers with deli items and assembly.
• Prepare grab-and-go products.
• Handle chicken and roasting tasks.
• Clean fryer/oil handling and equipment every 4 hours.
• Order for the smoked program from meat dept.
• Produce smoked products per SOP.
• Perform general cleaning with cleaners and sanitizers.
• Record-keeping as directed by supervisor.
• Execute merchandise programs and weekly circular planning.
