Job summary

Dogma Dog Care seeks a leadership-minded individual to run kennel shifts, oversee feeding and medications, and ensure a clean, safe environment for dogs. You will assign tasks to handlers, monitor operations, and help train staff on canine behavior and care standards.

Must enjoy dogs, have strong time-management skills, and be available on weekends. Prior kennel experience is preferred to support daily operations and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Some shift time outdoors and weekend availability required.

Job description

Dogma Dog Care is looking for someone to run the shifts in a leadership capacity. The lead executes the feeding, medications, and major disinfectant cleaning of the facility. The lead also designates responsibilities to the handlers and will perform any services requested for the dogs. Other responsibilities are defined in the task sheet. Must be great with time management. Must love dogs and be attentive to detail. Some portion of the shift will be outside. Must be available on weekends. Experience in dog handling and industry preferred for leadership role. This role includes participating in Operations Management to oversee the daily operations of the kennel facility and help train the dog handlers in dog behavior and dog care standards. Operations include talking to customers as needed to address any concerns or inquiries. Leadership helps to keep a sanitary and safe environment for the dogs, and to monitor their heath and wellbeing. Leadership will also report behavioral issues or conflicts among animals to clients, while keeping accurate log of incidents and records of animal care.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a kennel or animal care facility and some availability on holidays and weekend. Must love dogs!
