Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, counseling or closely related field with two years of youth-custodial, work training, or therapeutic experience.
• Or a high school diploma or equivalent with four years of relevant youth-services experience as described above.
• Or one year of experience as a Group Supervisor III in Nevada state service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youths within the assigned unit and monitor conduct per facility rules.
• Conduct intake interviews and document personal, medical and family history.
• Perform security checks, head counts and searches to ensure safety.
• Respond to emergencies and apply approved interventions to manage behavior.
• Maintain individual case records and document progress for unit staff review.
