Job summary

Flagship Culinary Services is seeking a Jr. Sous Chef in San Francisco to support high-tech client dining programs. You will contribute to menu planning, food preparation and ensuring quality standards in a fast-paced cafe kitchen.

You will lead a team, train staff, and work with HR on development, while maintaining safety guidelines and engaging in performance evaluations. The role offers on-site work with a strong focus on teamwork and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred; strong attendance and performance history.
• 3–5 years of kitchen management in a high-volume setting.
• Active Management Level Food Handlers’ Certification (ServSafe) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen staff and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Manage prep, production, inventory, and recipe adherence.
• Schedule staff using Kronos, coach and discipline when needed.
• Monitor KPIs like safety, staffing levels, attrition.
• Maintain cleanliness and health department audits ≥90%.
