Job summary

Community Access Services in The Dalles, OR is seeking a Lead Janitor / Lead Custodian to lead a small crew and perform hands-on commercial cleaning. This part-time role requires responsibility, dependability, and safety awareness as you guide two junior staff and ensure high standards of cleanliness.

You will follow established procedures, coordinate with the Program Manager, and maintain a safe, organized work environment while delivering high-quality custodial services.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
• Leadership or team-leading experience is a plus, but strong transferable skills will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and provide direction to janitorial crew members.
• Perform hands-on commercial janitorial and custodial cleaning duties.
• Complete routine cleaning and sanitation tasks according to established schedules and quality standards.
• Follow contract specifications, cleaning procedures, and customer requirements.
• Ensure cleaning work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Operate commercial janitorial equipment and cleaning tools.
• Drive company vehicles to transport employees, supplies, and equipment between sites.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages to the Program Manager.
