Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking an on-site Janitorial Supervisor in Hobart, IN to lead and train the janitorial staff, ensuring safety and high-quality service. You will participate in daily cleaning tasks and ensure customer expectations are met during a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM weekday schedule.

Responsibilities include directing the crew, supervising cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas, and performing sweeping, mopping and vacuuming as required. Background screening is required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience leading a janitorial team in commercial buildings.
• Background and basic drug screening required.
• Ability to work with other crew members and follow supervisor instructions.
• Good listening to customer requests and directive execution.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Steel-toed shoes may be required.
• Ability to work in hot conditions.

Summary:

Lead, train, and direct the janitorial staff on site to ensure that all employees are kept safe and the customer’s quality expectations are met or exceeded. You will also be responsible for participating in daily cleaning tasks.

Working Schedule:

Monday - Friday @ 3:00PM- 11:30PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with Leading a Janitorial team and cleaning commercial buildings.
• Must undergo a background and basic drug screening
• Must have the ability to work with other crew members
• Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Steel toed shoes required when applicable
• Ability to work in hot conditions
