Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a on-site janitorial supervisor in Wheeling, IL to lead, train, and direct the janitorial staff to meet safety standards and customer quality expectations. You will participate in daily cleaning tasks.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with responsibilities including cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a janitorial team in commercial buildings.
• Background and standard drug screening required.
• Ability to work with other crew members and follow supervisor instructions.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Steel-toed footwear may be required.
• Ability to work in hot conditions.

Summary:

Lead, train, and direct the janitorial staff on site to ensure that all employees are kept safe and the customer’s quality expectations are met or exceeded. You will also be responsible for participating in daily cleaning tasks.

Working Schedule:

Monday - Friday @ 7:00AM- 3:30PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with Leading a Janitorial team and cleaning commercial buildings.
• Must undergo a background and basic drug screening
• Must have the ability to work with other crew members
• Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Steel toed shoes required when applicable
• Ability to work in hot conditions
