Job summary

GDI, Inc. on-site in Lafayette, IN seeks a Lead Janitorial Supervisor to guide, train and direct the janitorial staff, ensuring safety and meeting the customer’s quality expectations. You will participate in daily cleaning tasks and coordinate with supervisors.

Responsibilities include leading staff, cleaning restrooms and common areas, and performing sweeping, mopping and vacuuming. A background check and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a janitorial team.
• Experience cleaning commercial buildings.
• Must pass background and drug screening.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Steel-toed shoes required where applicable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions.

Summary:

Lead, train, and direct the janitorial staff on site to ensure that all employees are kept safe and the customer’s quality expectations are met or exceeded. You will also be responsible for participating in daily cleaning tasks.

Working Schedule:

Monday - Friday @ 7:30AM- 3:30PM (Occasional Sat. & Sun.)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with Leading a Janitorial team and cleaning commercial buildings.
• Must undergo a background and basic drug screening
• Must have the ability to work with other crew members
• Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Steel toed shoes required when applicable
• Ability to work in hot conditions
