Trinity Services Group is hiring a Lead Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals inside the Wake County Detention Center. You will follow menus and instructions, supervise routine kitchen tasks, and maintain a clean, food-safe workstation on site.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prior institutional food service experience is a plus. We offer daily pay, benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• Clean as you go and maintain a neat and food safe workstation; pull trash, sweep, and mop.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• Stand for extended periods and be able to lift, bend, push, kneel, and walk as required.
• Be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
