Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to join the team inside the Onslow County Jail in North Carolina. This role centers on preparing and serving meals per menus, while maintaining safety and kitchen hygiene in a correctional facility.

You will report to a Food Service Director and contribute to a motivated team, with opportunities for growth, DailyPay access to earned wages, a $250 Rookie’s bonus, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• Maintain a clean, food-safe workstation; pull trash, sweep, and mop.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• Stand and be on your feet for extended periods; meet physical demands of the role.
• Other duties as needed.
