Job summary
The Utah Department of Transportation in Salt Lake City seeks a Lead Electronic Technical Specialist to guide the Freeway Operations Maintenance Team responsible for ITS statewide. Qualifications
- Two years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education.
- Must hold IMSA Level III Certification or Traffic Inspection & Highway Lighting Certification or Journeyman Electrician License.
- Willingness to perform on-call shifts and after-hours work.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations, delegate tasks, and oversee performance evaluations.
- Coordinate maintenance, review schedules, and ensure safety compliance.
- Install, calibrate, and repair ITS hardware and power systems.
- Program ramp meter controllers and traffic sensors.
- Collaborate with project leaders, agencies, and vendors.
- Respond to inquiries and document activities in logs.
