Job summary

Egis seeks an Engineer, Traffic in Salt Lake City, UT. You will lead traffic design tasks, prepare plans for signing, lighting, signals, ITS, and intersections, and contribute to MOT for major projects. Strong writing and client-relations skills are essential.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 6+ years of traffic engineering experience, and a PE license (Utah preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, and Synchro is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of traffic engineering design/operations experience.
• Professional Engineer license required; Utah license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of traffic engineering projects or tasks within larger projects.
• Prepare plans for signing/striping, lighting, signals, ITS, and intersections.
• Perform MOT planning for large design-build projects.
• Conduct basic traffic simulation using HCS, SYNCHRO, CORSIM, VISSIM.
• Prepare traffic impact analyses and related reports.
• Ensure quality through plan/estimate reviews and QA/QC.
