Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) seeks a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the IMS team in San Diego, CA. You will lead a team of systems and network engineers, maintain Linux/Windows lab environments, and drive secure, architected solutions for Naval tactical systems.

The role requires 7+ years' experience, a DoD-relevant background, and the ability to work onsite with occasional travel. IDT offers a strong benefits package and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent full-time professional experience.
• 7+ years' experience in IT systems, networks, and security practices.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead a matrixed team of systems and network engineers.
• Provide IT systems support for Linux and Windows in lab environments.
• Install and provision hardware, evaluate future needs, and research architectures.
• Implement and review security processes; update DISA STIGs and RMF readiness.
• Document system infrastructures and maintain procedures.
• Troubleshoot end-user, infrastructure, and customer applications.
