Job summary

Humanetics Sensors is establishing a fully independent IT function in the US. The IT Lead will be the senior member of a four-person team, handling Level 2 escalations across the US and guiding security, migrations and AI tool deployments.

The role combines hands-on infrastructure, network and end-user computing support with defining technical standards, vendor management and knowledge sharing across sites in the US, UK and Sri Lanka, as the group moves toward a standalone IT operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field is required.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, infrastructure or IT engineering.
• Proven ability diagnosing and resolving LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi, DNS and DHCP issues across multiple sites.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, AD and Entra ID administration.
• Proven track record enforcing IT security policies and standards.
• Experience planning and delivering IT projects, migrations, upgrades and rollouts on time and to scope.
• Experience deploying AI productivity tools (e.g. Copilot) with data governance and security settings.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Curiosity about emerging tech and self‑directed learning to apply new tools.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 and Level 2 US support escalation and issue resolution across systems, networks and end-user computing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi, DNS and DHCP issues; ensure reliable connectivity across US sites.
• Establish and audit IT security policies, standards and best practices; support access control and export-control requirements.
• Lead IT projects, migrations and rollouts from planning to handover with minimal business disruption.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and Entra ID; manage identity, devices, licensing and conditional access.
• Oversee AI tools rollout across the group, ensuring data governance, access controls and measurable productivity gains.
• Create and maintain documentation and runbooks for repeat issues and knowledge retention.
• Manage third-party vendors, licenses and IT assets; ensure service and cost commitments.
• Set technical standards and provide coaching to the IT team and site Level 1 support.
