GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Highmark seeks a highly motivated Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer/Lead Mainframe Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our critical mainframe systems. This role requires deep expertise in z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, and related technologies. Responsibilities include leading complex projects, troubleshooting critical issues, and mentoring junior engineers. The successful candidate will drive platform improvements, ensure high availability and performance, and promote best practices within a geographically dispersed data center environment. Experience with automation (IBM Systems Automation), diagnostic tools, and disaster recovery planning is essential. Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to knowledge sharing are also required.
