Job summary

SimplePractice LLC in Santa Monica is seeking a Lead IT Support Engineer to drive enterprise IT operations and mentor a growing team. You will manage AI tooling rollout, security controls, and vendor relationships to scale our IT services.

Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, you will shape roadmaps, establish SOPs, and advocate for HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance across systems and tools, including Okta, Jamf, Notion, and AI platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience in a fast-growing enterprise environment.
• Deep admin expertise in Okta IAM, Jamf MDM, Google Workspace Enterprise, Zoom Admin, Slack Enterprise, and automated Identity Lifecycle Management.
• Experience deploying and managing enterprise AI tooling environments (OpenAI, Claude, Cursor, Notion AI, Gemini).

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise IT initiatives (50%), partnering with leadership to align IT strategy with business growth.
• Architect, automate, and maintain resilient IT infrastructure and manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee deployment, access provisioning, security controls, and admin management for AI tools across the organization (Claude, Cursor, OpenAI, Notion AI, Gemini).
• Track consumption metrics, optimize token usage, and evaluate AI solutions to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with Procurement on contracts, licenses, and vendor relationships for software, hardware, and AI providers.
• Design and implement internal IT controls to ensure HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance.
• Manage SSO/Okta, SCIM, and integrations across the enterprise SaaS stack.
• Oversee Notion-based knowledge base, SOPs, and onboarding programs.
• Be the senior escalation point for Tier 3 issues and conduct RCA to prevent incidents.
• Manage enterprise endpoint management platforms and hardware lifecycle strategies.
• Develop scalable onboarding and operational workflows for a growing IT team.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1 weekend day every 2 weeks).
