Job summary

NextEdge Networks is seeking an ISP Telecommunications Technician II to install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecom infrastructure in Billings, MT. This senior role covers RF, power systems, and network equipment across wireless and wireline environments.

You will lead in-field activities, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety and quality in all operations. Travel up to 50% is required and prior certifications in climbing, rigging, and fall protection are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of telecommunications, network infrastructure, wireless, ISP, or related construction and maintenance experience.
• Experience supporting telecommunications network equipment, AC/DC power systems, and site infrastructure.
• Certifications in climbing/rescue, rigging, PPE usage, and specialized equipment are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications network infrastructure, including routers, switches, baseband units, upconverters, RF equipment, and transport systems.
• Perform advanced installation, integration, testing, and maintenance for wireless and wireline networks.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC electrical systems for telecom facilities.
• Install and maintain telecom power systems, power plants, batteries, generators, and distribution equipment.
• Lead equipment integrations, alarm verification, software upgrades, and system turn-ups for reliability.
