The role requires 5+ years in telecom construction, relevant certifications, and strong leadership. Travel up to 50% and on-site collaboration with foremen are essential aspects of this position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years telecommunications construction experience, including leadership roles.
  • NWSA TTT2 certification required.
  • OSHA30 certification required.
  • First Aid AED/CPR certification required.
  • RF awareness and related certifications encouraged.
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications (e.g., rigging, fall protection, crane signaling).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex tower construction and maintenance activities on-site.
  • Serve as the point leader on the tower and guide team members.
  • Oversee advanced installation tasks including grounding and coax/fiber handling.
  • Conduct and supervise testing: sweep, PIM, and fiber testing.
  • Maintain OSHA regulations and company EHS protocols on the tower.
  • Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
  • Operate rigging equipment and cranes for lifting and positioning.
  • Interpret construction drawings, RF data sheets, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Foreman and stakeholders to address challenges.
